About the event
Inspired by the 5,000-year-old Indian craft of charpai weaving, this workshop brings a modern, colourful twist to a traditional technique deeply rooted in everyday life and craftsmanship. The charpai, a handwoven bed found across rural India, is known for its sturdy structure and striking geometric patterns—created by weaving cotton or jute ropes into wooden frames.
In this workshop, we recreate that age-old rhythm and pattern using paper strips, transforming a humble craft into a fun, tactile art experience.
What You Will Do:
