Geometric Human Form with Clay

In this hands-on terracotta workshop, you’ll explore the basics of hand-building clay while creating an expressive sculptural form inspired by the human body and everyday gestures. Working with natural terracotta clay, you’ll learn how to build forms from scratch using simple techniques such as pinching, coiling :)

The workshop focuses on understanding form, proportion, and balance rather than perfection. You’ll be guided to observe how shapes relate to one another, how weight and posture affect a sculpture, and how small changes can bring character and emotion into a piece. Texture will be developed through gentle carving and mark-making, allowing the clay to retain its raw, earthy quality.

Note: Pieces created in this workshop will not be fired. However, they can be painted and used as decor pieces once dry.
