About the event

Step back into one of the world’s earliest urban civilizations—the Indus Valley Civilization (c. 3300–1300 BCE), also known as the Harappan Civilization. Spread across present-day India and Pakistan, this ancient culture was known for its planned cities, advanced drainage systems, and a rich tradition of craftsmanship. Among their many achievements, their terracotta pottery stands out as a beautiful blend of function and artistry.

Harappan pottery reflects a civilization that valued craft, daily utility, and symbolic expression. Even utilitarian vessels carried floral, animal, and geometric messages—connecting people to nature and ritual life. This workshop helps participants physically engage with ancient design languages—learning by making what they once used, everyday and ceremonial.

In this 2-day immersive workshop, you’ll explore the timeless aesthetics and techniques of Indus Valley pottery through a guided, hands-on experience.
