About the event

Fauvism is an art movement known for its bold, vibrant colors and simple, expressive forms. It started in the early 1900s, led by artists like Henri Matisse and André Derain. Instead of focusing on realistic details, Fauvist artists used color to show emotion and energy. Fauvism was about freedom—breaking away from traditional rules and using color and brushstrokes to make a statement. It’s often seen as joyful, wild, and full of life, which is why the artists were nicknamed "Les Fauves" (French for "The Wild Beasts").

Guided by the techniques of legendary artists like Matisse and Derain, you’ll paint a canvas (10 X 12) with emotion and craft a masterpiece that celebrates your unique artistic voice. Perfect for beginners and seasoned creators alike!
