Terracotta Fishscape Relief

Create a striking terracotta relief artwork focused entirely on fish forms, exploring the expressive possibilities of clay through shape, movement, and texture.

In this workshop, participants will study the elegant structure of fish and translate it into a sculptural relief composition. Beginning with simple sketches, you will explore variations in fish silhouettes - curved bodies, flowing fins, and rhythmic tail movements, transforming them into stylized forms suited for clay.

Working with terracotta clay, you will build depth by layering and shaping multiple fish elements within a single composition. The emphasis will be on how repetition, scale variation, and placement can create a sense of movement without introducing any external motifs.

Note: Pieces created in this workshop will not be fired. Once fully dry, they can be painted and displayed as decorative pieces
